I need help from our knowledgeable group. I am planning on getting my first tattoo when I visit my son Bill (some of you may remember him from meetings) and I'm trying to locate symbols or emblems denoting blacksmithing for possible incorporation into my tat. I've googled away, but so far, no luck. I'm thinking of something like the symbols or shields or emblems (not sure what they are called) that the medieval guilds used for their trades. I know I've seen them carved in stone or in stained glass windows in cathedrals, but I can't seem to locate anything. I did find the crest of the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths (Mark Aspery is a member) but it is rather complex and I don't think it would be right to use a crest of a group of which I am not a member.

Anyone out there that can help me?
