Ken Baker has graciously offered, on behalf of his family, a possible location for a permanent shop. The location is 624 Camp St. Riverdale. GA. I plan on visiting the site soon and will post photos and more comments on our website.

In order to explore this possibility I am offering some topics for thought and comment:

A committee to explore this will be created. Individuals to serve on this committee should have experience and/or knowledge in these areas:

Construction (trade skills), permitting (County construction codes), building mechanicals (plumbing, wiring, electrical, HVAC), Blacksmith class instruction, Professional Blacksmithing experience. Finance, taxes, contracts and insurance. This list is not all inclusive. The idea is to have people with the experience, knowledge, judgement and commitment to explore this idea and report to the Board, Officers and Membership at large.

A few issues that I can think of: Purchase, lease or donation of the land and building. Suitability of the site and Zoning/Code issues.
