When cutting off stock on the hardie, don't cut completely through. Leave a thread of steel and break it off. This will protect your hardie tool and hammer.

Regular meeting at Linda Rubin's Shop
Alfred McClure will demonstrate making a monkey tool and a three-part candle stick. We all know that Alfred is an entertaining demonstrator so it should be informative and fun. There will be at least two forges (coal and gas) available after the demonstration for those that want to bang some metal.
I will also do a short demonstration of some metal patina and coloring methods I learned at a course in Chattanooga. This will be my first attempt at a demo, so please be kind!
