You can never have enough vises. Install one that you can walk around. Make one high for detail and chisel work, one lower for flailing upon, and a close one the height of the forge lip.

Steel for sale or tradeHey All, I have an abundance of steel saw bodies that I would like to sell or trade for tools. Most of the bodys are about 1/8" thick but I have some that are as thick as 3/8". 90% of these have never had carbide tips brazed to them and have never seen a machine. I also have a good deal of 4150 tool steel from woodworking tools that were discarded. These are not small shop peices, these are large chunks of steel that have been discarded from service. Again, I am willing to sell these at a very reduced rate, however, I would rather trade them for the tools I need to get back up and running...starting with a small anvil. If these were being sold by the pound for thier true value, there is literaly hundreds, if not thousands of dollars worth of quality steel.
