In the past we have had some criticisms of the methods of award and have had a learning curve in the process. I was shocked to hear that so few members are taking advantage of so valuable a prize.
My thinking has changed as a result and I would like to propose the following: 1. At least one scholarship each year would be reserved for newer members(Say those 3 years or less). 2 No one would be eligible to win in successive years. 3 All scholarships would be by luck of the draw. 4. An extra ticket in the drawing would be allowed for everyone who was a scheduled demonstrator at a meeting(this would not apply to those doing a demonstration to meet scholarship requirements).
